The whole development team, the whole QA team, Product Owner and an external consultant (coach) has been sent to one the best Scrum courses; to the PSM (Professional Scrum Master) Course arranged by Scrum.org.
I was very skeptic about the 2-day course but we learned how to use Scrum to optimize value, productivity and the total cost of ownership of software products. Tools were provided to enable us to relate to behavioral shifts, work with people and teams, coach and facilitate techniques, and address the organization. Our tutor was Simon Kneafsey with 20 years software development experience with 100’s of global clients and 10 years experience training and coaching teams and organizations in their transition to Scrum and Agile. By the end of the course, we have reached a common understanding on how Scrum Framework should be used to manage complex products as ours.
Most of the participants also took the PSM1 assessment to prove their knowledge of Scrum. Those who passed the assessment received the industry recognized PSM I Certification to demonstrate their mastery of the content.
